Could it be that our only nemesis in this world is the nemesis of Ego? The nemesis that bombards the soul with self-pity and doubt, sabotaging personalities with intolerance and impatience, fueling the amassing of anger and resentment above compassion and forgiveness.
What if we courageously faced our own nemesis instead of looking outward to place the title on others through blame? Possibly then we would see more light and love in our world … a world of peace.
What is it, today, that my nemesis has to teach me? Do I have the serenity to accept the things I cannot change? Do I have the courage to change the things I can for the betterment of I and all kind (mankind and nature)? Am I willing to strive for the wisdom to recognize the difference? No one to blame! That was why most people led lives they hated, with people they hated. How wonderful to have someone to blame! How wonderful to live with one’s nemesis! You may be miserable, but you feel forever in the right. You may be fragmented, but you feel absolved of all the blame for it. Take your life in your own hands, and what happens? A terrible thing: no one to blame.” ~Erica Jong
