‘Life isn’t stagnant, in my opinion. Change is the only constant amid the ebb and flow of the Universe. As the infamous Borg saying goes, “Resistance is futile!”‘~Michelle Maynard-Koenig
“A Fist Unfurling” by Eran Eyal, 2004
The Greek philosopher, Heraclitus, theorized that change is the essence of the Universe. Simply, everything FLOWS, nothing stands still. Heraclitus’ theory does not discriminate between Positive or Negative. In life one cannot exist without the other. It is the wholeness, the contrast of one to the other, that fosters the velocity and FLOW through life. Could it be that reality is subjective as to our unique perspective and life experiences? One way to look at it: Focus is our surfboard, Life is the waves, the Universe is the ocean, and each of us are the Surfers choosing the manner in which we FLOW, albeit Positive or Negative. We either go with the FLOW or we don’t. It has been my experience that resistance to change has brought about more unpleasantries and discomfort in my life, than when I gave up control, faced the wave (fear of unknown), and allowed it to take me to my next experience or journey.
