I believe in hope

for the individual and the whole.

I believe in the capacity of humanity

and its ability to conjure peace

through compassion,

understanding,

and sincerity.

I believe in love

and its strength to heal

hatred,

brokenness,

and fear.

Yes, I believe in second chances,

third, fourth, or hundredth,

because they have been given to me.
