A PEACEFUL NEW YEAR’S WISH FROM SMILED SOUL TO YOU

All of my life, Society told me that Peace is impossible, that it doesn’t exist and never will.

So I gave up my ammunition of fear. I put down my guns of hatred. And I tore up my flag of intolerance and said, “No.”

I said that Society is wrong. I broke free of my chains and flew! I became the dreamer, I became the beacon of hope; the embodiment of light and compassion that I know I was put here to be, just as we all are.

I made the conscious decision to love, and love alone. I now renounce bigotry. The hateful mentality of “Ego” has no place in my life any longer. I embrace you, your friends, your family; I embrace all of my brothers and sisters. We are ONE tribe. I’m here to say, never feel you are unloved. I love you! Even though I may not know you, I can say that because it’s what I feel in my heart.

On this day, New Years for some, New Years Eve for others, I say to you, Peace does exist! Peace CAN BE! It is inside of you and inside of me! When we know peace within ourselves, it WILL exist in the world and it will blossom! A light is shining through the darkness and LOVE will always prevail!

So let this year, 2012, be the year it was meant to be! Let it be a year of PEACE, of COMPASSION AND UNITY! Approach the new year with a new mentality of hope, not negativity! Now is the time for change! Let go of the past and the negative feelings holding you back and cross the divide into the light.

Peace is yours, peace is mine, peace is ours…if you want it!

Today, I wish you a beautiful, prosperous, healthy 2012! May its many coming changes renew you and may you emerge transformed; transformed into the beautiful beings of compassion and light we are all meant to be!

The truth will either haunt you or heal you. It depends on how much illusion is used to secure one’s foundation. One can face what has been avoided at any time, but there is no short cut. Sometimes, déjà vu resets the clock and one can find themselves back at a new beginning. One can take what one has learnt only by way of responsibility. Graduation. However it is also a possibility that the repeated choice to ignore the truth may manifest a new set of destination co-ordinates entirely. We affect our future every day. ~Floetry (Natalie Stewart)

The world is a looking-glass, and gives back to every man the reflection of his own face. Frown at it, and it will in turn look sourly upon you; laugh at it and with it, and it is a jolly kind companion. ~William Makepeace Thackeray

Today, I embrace the opportunity to be JOLLY, to be inspired by the Season’s gaiety. A day to take delight in all the festive energy. A day to celebrate all that is cultivated by something good or satisfying: another day of life. It is easy to recognize the JOLLY that resides in the heart also resides on the face in the form of a smile or a twinkle in the eye. JOLLY adorns the bounce in each step, decorates song, and spices uplifting words shared with another. ‘Tis a wonderful day to be JOLLY!

in·tent/inˈtent/

I’m delirious with joy. It proves that if you confront the universe with good intentions in your heart, it will reflect that and reward your intent. Usually. It just doesn’t always do it in the way you expect. ~J. Michael Straczynski

Consider. Einstein posed the following question for debate and discussion: Is the Universe friendly? Responses to Einstein’s question will differ from person to person based on their INTENT. INTENT, by some, is perceived as a focused beam of light; awareness is a broad unfocused illumination. There is no doubt that Humans live amid a vast and endless ocean of possibilities. Our minds scan the Universe for people, places and things to focus on; we attempt to make sense of existence and everything in it. INTENT defines what we focus on in life; it compels us to prioritize perceptions. The INTENT we give to the Universe will manifest into reality. If your INTENT is happiness, guess what? Happiness will manifest in your life. Take a moment and examine the INTENT you are sending out into the Universe today. What is your response to Einstein’s question? My response is simply, “Yes.”

THE INTANGIBLE

The existence of that these eyes cannot see,
shimmer, twinkle, sparkle or gleam
an illumination of the heart for centuries:
dances like a universal mosaic masterpiece.

The existence of that these hands cannot hold,
air, water, light and love that cajole
the moods of the human fold:
is an ambient of energy, pale and bold.

The existence of that this tongue cannot taste,
the sweetness of life seasoned and braise
the ingredients and elements all in place:
is a feast to savor each and every day.

The existence of that these ears cannot hear,
a shooting star, billowy cloud, or blooms flower
the sands of the hourglass that seem to jeer:
are all lessons of Self which are crystal clear.

The existence of that this nose cannot smell,
a redolent yesterday or tomorrow cannot expel
the ethereal scent wafting this earthly shell:
the intangible me, more than mortality can foretell.

FRIENDSHIP TRAIN

written by Barrett Strong and Norman J. Whitfield

Well, well, well, well, well, well
Calling out to everyone across the nation
Said the world today is in a desperate situation
Stealing, burning, fighting, killing
Nothing but corruption
It look like mankind in on the eve of destruction
Oh yes it is now people let me tell you now
We’ve got to learn to live with each other
No matter what the race, creed or color
I just got to tell you what the world needs now
Is love and understanding get aboard the friendship train
Everybody shake a hand make a friend now
Listen to us now, we’re doing our thing
On the friendship train

We’ve got to start today to make tomorrow
A brighter day for our children
Oh calm down people now we can do it
I can prove it but only if our hearts are willing
So get aboard the friendship train
Everybody, shake a hand, shake a hand
Yes I’m talking about the friendship train
Get on board shake a hand, make a friend
It don’t matter what you look like
People or who you are
If your heart is in the right place
In the right place
Talking about the right place
You’re welcome aboard now

This train stands for justice,
This train stands for freedom
This train stands for harmony and peace
This train stands for love
Come on get on the friendship train
People listen to me now
Harmony is the key my sisters and brothers
Oh yes it is I say
Harmony is the key my sisters and brothers
People can’t wait cause another day might be too late
Come on get on the friendship train

A FATHER’S EYES

How many times have I embraced
that father of mine, arms enlaced;
failing to notice before me,
eyes of blue, that tell a story.

Peering into the eyes of blue
and the depth of each wrinkle, too.
Besieged by crevices of pain,
amid clouds of past tears and shame.

Looking deep into the abyss
where love, kindness and joy exists.
A legion of vast compassion
survived the fights and frustration.

Childhood memories floats on by
showcasing my father and I.
Reading books and wiping tears,
sound advice soothing ghastly fears.

December 17, each year,
I celebrate my father dear.
The life he’s lead, the life he gives,
the best he has, the best he lives.

A father’s eyes does not convey
a straight path, want or way.
Nor do they convey perfection,
but respect and grateful life reflection.
