ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

The sun greets me
with radiant light,
providing enough warmth
for the darkness of night.

Rain falls down
from the massive sky,
providing enough water
for when the days go dry.

Bliss is strength,
even the smallest fleck,
providing enough gratitude
to keep my Ego in check.

Sorrows are daunting,
I do confess,
providing enough loss
so I appreciate all that I possess.

Love runs deep,
from within my soul,
providing enough serenity
to release want for control.

Pain crops up
in many stages,
providing enough anguish
to keep me courageous.

Source of life
is omnipresent,
providing enough to fulfill
the “I” in “Me” each second.

Enough is enough
for me today,
I trust I’ll receive
what I need, come what may.

LOON’S SONG

Immeasurable passion
resonates in the Loon’s call
—North, South, East, West,
Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall.

Verve of life,
its conductor of song;
imperfect in pitch, yet
joy pervades the tone.

Annoying to those
who think it a bother,
its unique hoot and yodel
is endearing to others.

Having van Gogh’s ear for music
doesn’t stop the Loon from singing,
serenading tremolo of excitement
each day of being.

Aware it is blessed
with an animated Spirit,
the Loon is beholden to all,
even to those who jeer it.

HAPPY IMPERFECTION

Life’s journey doesn’t
move along a straight
and narrow road;
though perfect in theory,
it isn’t foretold …

The climbs and falls,
full of joy
and exhaustion;
though perfect in theory,
it presents many a question …

Among slither of storms,
blinding fog and
sunny days;
though perfect in theory,
it can be quite mundane …

Happiness, the vehicle,
amid a challenging
life sublime;
I forgo the perfect theory,
imperfection is divine.
