The sun greets me
with radiant light,
providing enough warmth
for the darkness of night.

Rain falls down
from the massive sky,
providing enough water
for when the days go dry.

Bliss is strength,
even the smallest fleck,
providing enough gratitude
to keep my Ego in check.

Sorrows are daunting,
I do confess,
providing enough loss
so I appreciate all that I possess.

Love runs deep,
from within my soul,
providing enough serenity
to release want for control.

Pain crops up
in many stages,
providing enough anguish
to keep me courageous.

Source of life
is omnipresent,
providing enough to fulfill
the “I” in “Me” each second.

Enough is enough
for me today,
I trust I’ll receive
what I need, come what may.

Immeasurable passion
resonates in the Loon’s call
—North, South, East, West,
Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall.

Verve of life,
its conductor of song;
imperfect in pitch, yet
joy pervades the tone.

Annoying to those
who think it a bother,
its unique hoot and yodel
is endearing to others.

Having van Gogh’s ear for music
doesn’t stop the Loon from singing,
serenading tremolo of excitement
each day of being.

Aware it is blessed
with an animated Spirit,
the Loon is beholden to all,
even to those who jeer it.

Make musical sounds with the voice, esp. words with a set tune.
An act or spell of singing.
verb.  chant – warble
noun.  song

Never try to teach a pig to sing—it wastes
your time and annoys the pig.

AFFIRMATION: Today, I focus on my own ability to SING instead of focusing on the ability of others. The song each of us SING vibrates a request to the Universe. It can be positive, negative, happy, or sad. Today, I am aware and in control of the vibration I send out through the song I SING.

Life’s journey doesn’t
move along a straight
and narrow road;
though perfect in theory,
it isn’t foretold …

The climbs and falls,
full of joy
and exhaustion;
though perfect in theory,
it presents many a question …

Among slither of storms,
blinding fog and
sunny days;
though perfect in theory,
it can be quite mundane …

Happiness, the vehicle,
amid a challenging
life sublime;
I forgo the perfect theory,
imperfection is divine.

Vitality shows in not only the ability to persist but the ability to start over. ~F. Scott Fitzgerald

AFFIRMATION: Today, I am alive. I release myself from all past limitations and fear and instead acknowledge the VITALITY and strength that resides in me. Today I choose to live in peace and without angst. VITALITY is with me as I continue on in my endeavors today. VITALITY is with me if I have to start over, too, as I am grateful for all the experiences in my life.

  1. (of a person or animal) Not easily upset or excited.
  2. (esp. of a place or stretch of water) Calm and peaceful, with little movement or activity.
calm – easygoing – gentle – peaceful – serene – tranquil

I think I could turn and live with the animals, they are so placid and self contained;
I stand and look at them long and long.
They do not sweat and whine about their condition;
They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins;
They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God;
Not one is dissatisfied-not one is demented with the mania of owning things;
Not one kneels to another, nor his kind that lived thousands of years ago;
Not one is responsible or industrious over the whole earth.
― Walt Whitman

AFFIRMATION: Today I am a PLACID creature while mindful of all that is around me. I am secure in my essence of love and light through any of life’s storms. I worry not about my wants as my needs are always met.

  1. Emit (energy, esp. light or heat) in the form of rays or waves.
  2. (of light, heat, or other energy) Be emitted in such a way.

If you see good in people, you radiate a harmonious loving energy which uplifts those who are around you. If you can maintain this habit, this energy will turn into a steady flow of love. ~Annamalai Swami

AFFIRMATION: Today, I allow myself to RADIATE from within; I open my heart and RADIATE love. I am aware that when the love within RADIATES to others, their love RADIATES back to me.

Gentle spirit,
of eyes so blue,
divine merit
has come to you.

Rare as a pearl,
lessons you taught,
your energy swirls
in dreams and thoughts.

You are my queen
of class and grace,
of courage and strength;
your love I embrace.

Mother to some,
others a friend,
lady of aplomb
your throne  does not end.

It’s easy to let life deteriorate into making a living instead of making a life. It’s not the hours you put in, but what you put into the hours that count. Learn to EXPRESS rather than impress. ~Jim Rohn

AFFIRMATION: Today, I EXPRESS myself and the life I choose to live in a positive, constructive, and loving way!

  2. (of a person) Doing or being a specified thing apparently naturally or automatically, reflex.

And yet for all this help of head and brain
How happily instinctive we remain,
Our best guide upward further to the light,
Passionate preference such as love at sight.
(Robert Frost)

There is an INSTINCTIVE understanding that resides in each of us. Sometimes when we spend more time focusing outward, instead of focusing inward, we lose sight of the Source within. Our INSTINCTIVE presence is not something to relearn, it is something to remember.

AFFIRMATION: Today, I recognize my INSTINCTIVE nature. Today, I recognize the truth of who I am.
